Where do you keep your SnapCorrect Truly Invisible Aligners when you take them out to eat? Do you have a safe place to store the remaining aligners that you have not worn yet?

Here are some tips for keeping your aligners out of harm’s way so that you can keep smiling.

When Eating

Whether you are eating at home or going out, it is important to keep your aligners in their case. Putting them in your pants pocket could damage them, and putting them on a table isn’t a good idea, either. Even if you remember exactly where you put them on the kitchen table, someone else may move them, crush them, or mistakenly throw them into the garbage disposal, in the time it takes you to brush your teeth.

With Pets

Dogs love aligners. Not only do they smell like you, but they are made out of tasty, chewy plastic. To a dog, even an aligner case can look like a tasty chew toy. When your aligners are not in use, make sure to keep them in a safe place, out of reach of pets. Even a table or counter can be within reach of a dog who tries hard enough, and cats love to knock things off of the table: including aligners, which your dog will then find and chew up.

When Moving

We have all misplaced something when moving to a new address. Sometimes, that lost item is exactly the one we put in a different place so as not to lose it. You can prevent that lost item from being your aligners by keeping them in a backpack with your most important things, as well as writing yourself a reminder note on your phone that tells you where they are, just in case. Also remember to put your aligners in a hard case, or make sure the bag with your aligners doesn’t get crushed. Your aligners are delicate. If your move involves a long drive, keep your aligners in a bag that you can take with you during pit stops, so that the aligners won’t get damaged from time spent in a hot car.
